The IIIF x Kobayashi Maru personality assessment
The 1982 film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan introduced the Kobayashi Maru, an idea that has endured in pop culture to the present day. In the film, the Kobayashi Maru test is a simulated spacecraft training exercise designed to test senior Starfleet Academy students and teach them critical lessons about commanding a starship and, more broadly, life in general.
Thanks to the interoperability features provided by IIIF and a server hidden from the Department of Temporal Investigations, we are able to allow you, the people of the distant past of the 2020s, to take the most important test of the 2280s. You will take the role of a Starfleet Academy cadet given simulated command of the USS Enterprise. When you are finished, you will be assigned a Star Trek character whose personality and personal choices match yours using a highly sophisticated algorithm. If you don't like your result, you can repeat the test as many times as you like.
This is not a test of competence. It is a test of character. Are you ready to begin?
